Dear Families,
A very warm welcome to the 2022 school year. We are extremely excited to be commencing on our our new and impressive college campus. I’m excited to see how all the ways in which our values - Aspiration, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility - play out at our new school and shape our day-to-day interactions.

We want all our students to always be proud members of ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢. We want all to experience the type of care and belonging that comes from being known and connected to their peers and teachers.
We want these things because we understand that a sense of care and belonging inspires motivation, engagement in education and a love of learning.

With our Years 7, 9 & 12 students commencing on Monday 31st January and the Years 8, 10 & 11 students commencing on Tuesday 1st February, I would like to remind families of the importance of all students wearing their College uniform every day.

College Uniform
The wearing of our College uniform helps to enhance a sense of belonging and care and this is the reason our College Council established a Student Dress Code Policy in 2019 which made the wearing of our College uniform compulsory for all students. The Student Dress Code aims to:

  • foster a sense of community and belonging and encourages students to develop pride in their appearance
  • support ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢â€™s commitment to ensuring that our students feel equal and are dressed safely and appropriately for school activities.
  • reduce student competition on the basis of clothing
  • enhance the profile and identity of the school and its students within the wider community.

The School Council has developed a dress code that we believe provides a range of choices for students and is cost effective for families.
During last year it was recognised that many of our students prefer to wear the College sublimated PE polo top with their charcoal College shorts and it was agreed that this would become an acceptable part of the daily uniform only if it was worn with black leather lace up shoes and the charcoal College shorts.
Students are still required to wear full PE uniform when participating in PE and sport.
Stockists of our uniform are:
The School Uniform Shop, 183 Corio Street
Goulburn Valley School Uniforms, 55 High Street
Quality Teams, 27 Benalla Road
Shops are fully stocked.

Sun safety
As we are a secondary school, we expect students to take responsibility for being sun smart by wearing a school hat during outdoor activities in term 1, term 4 and on high UV days or staying in the shade, if they are not wearing sunscreen.  Hats are not to be worn inside.

If a student is out of school uniform or otherwise breaches the Student Dress Code on a recurring basis, a note will be provided to the student and parents by the Home Group Teacher.  If non-compliance with the dress code becomes a continued occurrence, the Principal will be informed and a phone call home may be required. In this event, the school will continue to work with the student and family to support compliance.

Please contact the Principal, or Wellbeing Leader to discuss support that we may be able to provide to families experiencing difficulty meeting uniform costs, including information about eligibility for uniform support through State Schools’ Relief. Further information about State Schools’ Relief is also available on their website:

I have attached a copy of our  pdf College Student Dress Code Policy (186 KB)   Please contact the College if you have any queries regarding this.

I look forward to meeting up with our students and families and together, let’s make ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢ all that it can be.

Best wishes.
Barbara O'Brien
Executive Principal.
