Dear parents, carers and students,

I am very pleased to advise that ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢ will be open for on-site learning for all students from Monday, 24 October.

Despite severe weather and flooding in many parts of Greater Shepparton and the north east, our school buildings were not damaged. We have used the week to assess the welfare of our staff and students, many of whom were impacted by floodwaters.

Fortunately, almost all of our teachers can safely access ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢ from next week and all classes will resume from Monday.

Our bus companies expect to operate all services as normal. However they have advised:

  • If your usual bus stop remains impacted by floodwaters or a road closure, please go to your next closest stop.
  • There may be traffic delays in some areas, including the causeway linking Mooroopna and Shepparton.
  • If students are worried about making a connection to another service, they should alert the bus driver.

For families accessing ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢ by car, please drive safely and remain extra vigilant as many local roads have suffered flood damage.  Please remember to never, ever, drive through floodwaters.

If you have questions or concerns, or to report an absence on Monday, please call our office on 5891 2000 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We very much look forward to welcoming our students back on campus. Take care over the weekend and see you Monday!

Sincerely

Barbara O’Brien

Executive Principal

To the ÃÛÌÒÅ®º¢ community,

I hope all our families are remaining safe and well.

As you are aware, Shepparton continues to be impacted by flood waters.

This will continue to present significant challenges for our area and surroundings, especially with respect to students and staff getting to and from school safely.

On SES advice, the Department of Education and Training has confirmed that the school is to close tomorrow Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October. Onsite supervision will not be available.

This decision has been taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our staff and students.

The College will however be open for Year 12 students only. Any Year 12 student who would like to undertake private study at school is welcome to come into the College tomorrow Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October. Please report to the main office when you arrive.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Kind regards,
Barbara O’Brien

Executive Principal
