Dear Students, Parents/Carers,

We would like to advise you of the following information that is important to Year 12 students sitting their exams.

If a student has been identified by the Department of Health as a Primary Close Contact (PCC) to a person diagnosed as positive to COVID-19 they will have been instructed to quarantine.

Students identified as Primary Close Contacts (PCC)

  • If fully vaccinated and not identified as a household PCC, these PCCs will need to quarantine for 7 days and are required to undertake additional COVID-19 tests at day 2, 4 and 6 and will only be allowed to sit examinations if they comply with all requirements, including only leaving quarantine for initial testing; testing on the required additional days; and do not return a positive result or develop symptoms.
  • If not fully vaccinated or identified as a household contact, PCCs will need to quarantine for 14 days and are required to undertake additional tests at day 2, 4, 6 and 13 and will only be allowed to sit examinations if they comply with all requirements, including only leaving quarantine for initial testing; testing on the required additional days; and do not return a positive result or develop symptoms.
  • VCE students who are symptomatic or PCCs will be given priority 1 status at testing sites
  • Students attending for their final exams should report to the exam supervisors who will be present on site at both the Wanganui Campus and at St Augustines.
  • Year 12 students who have been identified by the Department of Health as a Primary Close Contact (PCC) will still be able to sit their exams while in quarantine. They will however be isolated from the other students and be required to complete their exams in a dedicated room.
  • Any student who is a confirmed COVID-19 case must follow Department of Health directions, including isolation arrangements. Any such students must isolate for 14 days and cannot attend for any examinations until released from isolation by the Department of Health

If a student is displaying COVID like symptoms should get tested immediately. All students are required to wear a mask at all times.

Please contact the school if you require further information.
