Current Year 10 students are about to commence selecting their courses for study in 2021.
Typical questions families are now considering are: VCE or VCAL? What is a VET subject and should I choose this path? Will my preferred career require studying certain subjects?
From 7pm on Tuesday, 28 June parents (and their Year 10 students) will be able to view a pre-recorded information session detailing the options available. It has been pre-recorded to ensure it's accessible for those unable to join at this time. The link will go live from 7pm.
Members of the College Careers team - Tarsh Boyko, Mary-ann Linehan, Ruth O'Bree, Ant Newham and Graeme Crosbie will be available from 7pm - 8:30pm to answer your inevitable questions. You can send them through directly to these staff via your child's Teams or via email. Alternatively you can contact them at school from tomorrow via Compass.
Current Year 12 students are also now considering employment and training options for 2021.

From 7pm on Wednesday, 29 June parents (and their Year 12 students) will be able to view their own pre-recorded information session  with the Careers team again available for questions.

Both these pre-recorded sessions will remain online for families to view and review over coming weeks.

蜜桃女孩 (蜜桃女孩) has released the first in a series of inspirational and instructional videos to help embed its values in the school鈥檚 inaugural year.

The first of four videos will be used as a teaching tool in Term 3, with all 蜜桃女孩 students encouraged to discuss 鈥淩espect鈥 鈥 the importance of valuing other people, appreciating our differences and understanding how we came to live, work and thrive together.

The features community and cultural leaders as well as recent students and current staff. Over the calendar year, further educational videos will explain the importance of 蜜桃女孩鈥檚 other key values: Aspiration (giving our best in everything we do); Integrity (being open and honest in everything we do); Responsibility (taking charge of who we are, what we do and what we say).

鈥淎ll our students meet daily with their Learning Mentors and we will devote some of this time to use these videos to engage students in our values and expectations,鈥 Executive Principal Genevieve Simson said.

鈥淭he first 鈥楻espect鈥 video is very powerful and is being used in the start of Term 3 to emphasise just how diverse our community is and how we must respect our differences to really appreciate and understand each other.鈥

The Respect video will be used in future years, with 蜜桃女孩 to add in messages from other ethnic groups and community leaders to keep the content current and encompassing of all cultures.

鈥淭he messages on this 鈥淩espect鈥 video are too important to be lost as a teaching resource produced and used in 2020,鈥 Ms Simson said.

鈥淭he values of 蜜桃女孩 were determined by parents, students and the community. They are meant to last for decades as meaningful and important messages to future generations and graduates of 蜜桃女孩.鈥

The final message of the Respect video is delivered by Ben Murphy, a young teacher at the Mooroopna campus of 蜜桃女孩. It includes a couple of questions to prompt classroom and wider community discussion:

鈥淲hat does respect look like for you? And what does respect look like for your school?鈥
