Dear parents, carers and students,

I am writing to you again about the situation in Shepparton after staff members at a local business tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Although I would like to reassure you that no cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been detected on our school site, and that our school remains open, there are implications to having many staff absent for testing.

To ensure delivery of teaching and learning in a (coronavirus) COVID-19 safe environment, the College is planning to deliver a full timetable remotely through Compass and the Microsoft Teams platform.

The following campuses and associated year levels will learn from home for the remainder of the week:

- Wanganui Campus (years 8 and 10)

- all students McGuire campus (year 7)

- all students Mooroopna Campus (years 8 and 10)

These year levels are asked to message their Learning Mentor prior to 10.00am daily for attendance purposes.

All other students must bring their laptops to school as some of their teachers may be teaching from home. This information will be updated daily so please keep an eye on Compass and this website.

I apologise for the very short notice, but I am sure you will understand the necessity for this decision. It is important we all continue to follow the health advice from the experts.

Our school will continue to work closely with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Department of Education and Training (DET).

IFor more information regarding coronavirus and schools, please visit the DET website or call the DET coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 338 663, available 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. For school information in your language, call TIS National on 131 450. Please ask them to call the DET coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 338 663 and they will help interpret. For health advice in other languages visit . I will continue to keep you informed.
